Dalwhinnie is Gaelic for "meeting place" and the village of this name stands at the junction of old cattle-driving routes. It is the highest distillery in the Highlands. The particular effects of the drastic seasonal temperature changes which lead to snow-melted waters are used in the whisky-making process to create a distinctive taste.
Product Features
- Nose: A smooth yet dry nose with hints of heather and peat.
- Palate: Mellow, soft and lasting flavours of heather, honey sweetness and vanillas followed by deeper citrus-fruit flavours and hints of malted bread.
- Finish: Long, lingering yet gentle finish that starts with sweetness but gives way to smoke, peat and malt.
