About
Rudi Schultz comes from a family of top-class winemakers, three of five brothers, also being avid surfers. Hailing from Somerset West, the three brothers grew up surfing the local breaks after school most days. Rudi's inspiration for his latest range of unique wines comes from his great passion for surfing, his love of the ocean and the world-renowned surf breaks.
Product Features
- Cabernet Sauvignon 66%, Malbec 21%, Petit Verdot 13%.
- 50% new French oak. Components are selected from the best 5 barrels of the vintage.
- A fine-textured and well-balanced wine with firm, ripe tannins. Cassis notes are supported by lovely hints of red fruit.
- Cabernet Sauvignon was hand sorted and fermented in small open-top tanks with 50% whole berries, “rack and return” was done one a day to the fermenting juice
- Malbec was fermented with 100% whole berries in small 1.5 ton tanks with punch downs being done twice daily.
- The Petit Verdot, due to its firm tannins was hand sorted and whole berry fermented with a punch down every 2nd day for 5 days.

Writer's block
Ours is about 3 feet by 3 feet, and on our left is the account's block. The sales block is down the hall.
We're joking. Obviously.
Ours is at least 5 by 5, and on Wednesdays we're allowed to write in coffee shops to maintain the illusion that we're "successful" and "writerly".
Coming up with a write up for the simple sake of a write up does, however, become difficult when we're staring complete lack of creativity right in the face. But apparently asking management to cancel all the deals for the day isn't a viable fix.
As they so delicately put it, it'd be like a comedian having the option to suddenly cancel a show if they're not feeling up to it. Not on our watch, they said. You'll do a write up whether you like it or not, they said. And be funny, they said.
So here we are, doing a write up and being funny.
