Established by Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel in 1709, Lourensford has a proud history as a world-class fruit farm and the wealth of glorious Proteas point to our rich floral heritage. Fortunately, the winemaking tradition was revived when well-known Cape businessman, Dr Christo Wiese purchased the Estate in 1998. Our wines express our commitment as a family to the unique cultural treasures and land entrusted to us in the historic Lourensford Estate. 

Product Features

• The wine is perfumed with wonderful exotic aromas of jasmine, lavender, grapefruit, hints dried apricot and white peach that balms the air.
• The pallet is filled with quince flavours complemented with hints of creamy lemon butter, nutmeg, ginger and vanilla.
• The wine has a flinty mineral finish and well balanced linear acidity.
