The start of RAR E THOS began with a shared passion of watches. We are two young South Africans that have been immersed in diverse cultures since birth. The nature of South Africa has influenced our outlook of what can be achieved when communities and cultures inspire change.
Our vision for this watch was to take inspiration from brand leaders and most importantly our heritage. We wanted to create one watch that you can wear anywhere, from the streets to the boardroom. Our goal is to provide our customers with the highest quality watch at an affordable price.

- Swiss Movement: This feature speaks to the quality of the Rare Ethos watch. Not just a fashion piece, our movement is produced in Switzerland and is of the highest quality.
- Sapphire Crystal: Our glass is sapphire crystal which makes the glass scratch resistant, unlike the mineral crystal found on most watches.
- Interchangeable Straps Genuine Calf Leather: The straps are interchangeable and are produced from high quality calf leather. More interchangeable styles are on their way.
- 10ATM/100M: This means our watch is waterproof up to 100m.
- Stainless Steel Case and Alloy Case Back: The case is symbolic of longevity and detail. The simple case is classy and the edges signify subtle detail that make the face its focal point.
- Dial and Roman Numerals: The detail on the dial highlights the roman numerals which offer a vintage look. The date feature is located above the bottom roman numeral.
- Watch Size: With a 38MM face the original Rare Ethos watch is understated yet significant, taking inspiration from vintage timepieces.
- Blue Hands: Taking cues from traditional high end watch makers our blue hands signify workmanship and beauty.
- Screws: A screwed in case back is a detail that shows time and effort has been put into each individual watch. This is an aspect of watch making that has been lost in mass manufacturing, we want the wearers of the Original Rare Ethos watch to know it was made with care and with the individual in mind.
- Authenticity: To distinguish between a real and fake Rare Ethos watch one could look at the finer detail, such as the Rare Ethos crown engraved into the dial of the watch as well as the finer engraving on the watch buckle.

We're not sure if you've noticed, but there a great many very different deals on today.
That means each of 'em will need their own witty blurb, and well, that's really way more than we'd like to write.
Not that it matters seeing as not being able to unionise sort-of limits your options.
So, we're doing what any motivated slacker (talk about paradoxes) would've done and figuring out the easiest route to keeping everyone happy (mostly).
