The Elgin Valley is located 70km southeast of Cape Town in the Overberg region. It is uniquely set on a high plateau surrounded by four mountain ranges. Sutherland Vineyards are situated just 9km off the Atlantic Ocean with altitudes of 140 to 250m above sea level, due to this proximity, ideal cool climate conditions are created. One can expect wines of linearity, accessibility and modernity.

Product Features

• The dark fruit flavours and cassis on the nose are a prequel to the refreshing sweet fruit and ripe tannins the palate delivers. 
• The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 18 months and will reward cellaring.
• Good now, but will improve for 10 years.
