Located on the slopes of the Olifantsberg Mountain, our vineyards thrive naturally in Breedekloof shale, Renosterveld and sandstone soils. We focus on producing wines that capture our unique location, diverse soils and natural expression of our vineyards
Product Features
- Rousanne and Grenache Blanc grown on shale/quartz soils; and Chenin grown on sandstone/shale soils.
- Echalas and trellised vineyards.
- The vision was to produce a great white Rhône style blend from the Breedekloof.
- The Rousanne (56%) and Grenache Blanc (35%) dominate the aromatics of the nose and palate of this wine.
- The Chenin Blanc (9%) adds layers of fruit and contributes to the complexity.
- The grapes were separately the whole bunch pressed to ensure elegant extraction.
- Natural fermentation took place in seasoned 500-litre French oak barrels adding layers of complexity.
- The blended wine was aged for 10 months on its lees, with some bâtonnage contributing to the freshness and complexity of the wine.
- Ageing took place in French oak of which 10% was new.
- Tasting Note A beautifully layered wine with opulent fruit flavours, white floral notes and hints of dried green herbs.

Humble bragging. How is this still a thing?
You know the type. They'll say something along the lines of "I really miss my old Chevy Spark. This Audi SUV is so much harder to park."
Rest assured they don't miss that Chevy AT ALL. They just want you to know that they spent truckloads of cash on the latest Audi, but they want to come across as really casual because somehow that makes them cooler. Or something.
You'd think the complete lack of any complimentary responses would put an end to this type of self-appreciation, but if anything it's happening more and more.
We'd love to come up with an effective solution to it but we're waaay too busy running a successful eCommerce company to actually invest the time.
